Laos

With a fusion of the traditional Southeast Asia hospitality and French colonial architecture, Laos is truly an off the beaten path country with tons to offer.

When I visited Laos I had no clue what to expect. I did absolutely no research, and the few things I happened to hear were tidbits about drunken river floats in Vang Vieng. I soon figured out that it’s a country full of beautiful nature and teeming with happy, relaxed vibes. It’s a magical place, where buddhist monks walk the streets and the smell of freshly baked bread hangs in the air.

It took me until the day my visa expired to leave, and I can’t wait to visit again in the future. I truly believe that Laos should be added to everyone’s Southeast Asia trip.
