USA
My childhood home, and the country of my passport.
A place I’ve driven across multiple times, yet a place I’ve still not fully discovered. The United States is an immense place full of diversity and bold personalities.
While I’m travelling abroad “What is your favorite place in America?” is the question I hear most. I think the majority of people expect me to say one of the many popular cities the US is known for.
Las Vegas where you can be whoever you chose for a weekend. San Francisco’s free spirit and iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Los Angeles, the city of angels, with all its shine and celebrity stardom. Maybe the windy city of Chicago, or Nashville’s country music scene, or even New Orleans with its bold French heritage. Of course, New York – “The Big Apple,” or Washington DC, or the warm flashy feel of Miami.
And, while all these places have their charm, I constantly find myself talking about nature in my home country. The peaceful retreats away from the concrete jungles. The underrated national parks.
Most of the articles I write about the US will try and capture these less heard of areas.
I want to share my thoughts about the lakes, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, caves, stunning coast, and…I think you get the point. The places that, since my childhood, have drawn me to exploring the wild wild west. At the very least, I want to have you thinking about escaping the glamour of the big cities on your next trip, even if only for an afternoon.
